International Women’s Day !

Our International Women’s Day event in Arnhem brought together nearly 100 participants and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Under the theme “#ForbiddenForWomen,” the program featured documentaries highlighting the experiences of women in Afghanistan, Iran, and the Netherlands, as well as discussions on the history of feminism and the Dolle Mina movement. Through dialogue sessions, cultural dance performances, music, and shared experiences, participants explored important conversations around women’s rights, equality, and freedom. The event demonstrated the power of solidarity and showed how supportive networks can help women inspire, empower, and uplift one another. At IWEE, we remain committed to creating spaces where intercultural dialogue, social awareness, and women’s empowerment can thrive.
